When performing homology modeling, is it possible to specify certain residues you want to keep the same?

Yes, many software, such as our software, and Modeller, can do homology modeling while keeping certain residues.

Yes, when performing homology modeling, it is indeed possible to specify certain residues that you want to keep the same in the model. After generating an initial homology model, you can manually edit the model using molecular visualization software (like PyMOL or Chimera) to ensure that specific residues remain unchanged. papa's scooperia
